Editorial policy

The editorial policy of the journal is based on the principles of objectivity and impartiality in the selection of manuscripts for publication, high standards of scholarly quality, mandatory peer review, collegial decision-making regarding publication, transparency and efficiency in communication with authors, and strict adherence to copyright and related rights.

All submitted research manuscripts undergo mandatory peer review. The review process is conducted according to the double-blind peer review model. Reviewers are selected from qualified experts holding advanced academic degrees and possessing relevant research experience in the respective field.

Based on the reviewers’ evaluations, a manuscript may be:

accepted for publication;

accepted subject to revisions;

rejected.

The Editorial Board reserves the right to request corrections, clarifications, or reductions from the author, as well as to screen manuscripts using plagiarism detection software.

Complaints and Appeals Procedure

The Editorial Board of the Bulletin of the Lviv National Academy of Arts (Visnyk LNAM) adheres to an established procedure for handling complaints concerning violations of ethical standards, as well as appeals against decisions of the Editor-in-Chief or the outcomes of the peer review process.

To file an appeal, the author must submit a formal request to the Editorial Office, clearly substantiating the grounds for the appeal, explaining the reasons for disagreement with the decision, and providing rebuttals or new evidence.

If the appeal concerns the results of peer review, the author should indicate specific errors in the review and, where applicable, provide justification for any suspected conflict of interest on the part of the reviewer.

Appeals are considered at a meeting of the Editorial Board, which may involve subject-matter experts where necessary. Following deliberation, the Editorial Board may recommend revision of the manuscript, initiate an additional round of peer review, or uphold the decision to reject the manuscript.

The Editorial Board considers only one appeal per manuscript, and its decision is final.

Appeals must be submitted to the official email address of the Visnyk LNAM.
