Abstract: 

The article deals with the influence of Hutsul's image on oil painting, the formation and development of national art and the Hutsul image. Familiarity with artists of Ukrainian and foreign paintings. Comprehensive analysis of images of Carpathian mountain ranges and scenes from their life in oil painting. The discovery of Hutsul images on the examples of paintings by Ukrainian painter F. Pautch and Czech artist A. Pokorny. Research work was conducted on the basis of author's own researches and archival sources
