About the Journal
The Bulletin of the Lviv National Academy of Arts (Visnyk LNAM) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published by the Lviv National Academy of Arts. Established in 1990, the journal serves as an international academic platform for the dissemination of original research in the fields of art studies and cultural theory.
Aims and Scope
The journal publishes high-quality, original research that contributes to the advancement of knowledge in the following areas:
- theory and history of art;
- design;
- restoration and conservation of cultural heritage;
- cultural studies.
The journal encourages interdisciplinary approaches and welcomes contributions that engage with contemporary methodological frameworks in the humanities.

- review articles and analytical surveys;
- scholarly reviews of recent publications.
Indexing and Archiving
The Bulletin of the Lviv National Academy of Arts (Visnyk LNAM) is indexed in international databases, including Index Copernicus, ERIH PLUS, CiteFactor, and Google Scholar.
The journal is also представлене на порталі “Scientific Periodicals of Ukraine” and is archived in both electronic and print formats at the V. I. Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine.
Article Processing Charges (APC)
The Bulletin of the Lviv National Academy of Arts is free of charge for authors. The journal does not impose any fees for manuscript submission, peer review, editorial processing, publication, or open access distribution.
All costs associated with the preparation and publication of the journal are covered by the Lviv National Academy of Arts.
Editorial Policy
The editorial policy of the journal is based on the following principles:
- objectivity and impartiality in the selection of manuscripts for publication;
- high standards of scholarly quality;
- mandatory peer review of all submitted manuscripts;
- collegial decision-making in the editorial process;
- transparency and efficiency in communication with authors;
- strict adherence to copyright and related rights.
- In cases of ethical violations, the editorial board reserves the right to reject a manuscript or retract a published article.
Publication Ethics
The Editorial Board pays particular attention to:
- the originality of submitted manuscripts and the prevention of plagiarism;
- adherence to the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE);
- making publication decisions based on reviewers’ reports.
Open Access Policy
The Visnyk LNAM supports the principles of open access to scholarly information. All articles are published in immediate open access on the official journal website, ensuring unrestricted availability to readers worldwide.
Copyright Policy
Authors retain copyright of their scholarly work. By submitting a manuscript to the journal, authors agree to:
- publication of the article in both print and electronic versions of the journal;
- distribution of the article in open access on the journal’s official website;
- indexing of the article in international scientometric databases.
When using materials published in the journal, proper citation of the author and the source is required.
The Editorial Board of the Bulletin of the Lviv National Academy of Arts adheres to the principles of responsible and ethical citation of scholarly sources.
